How do you define identify Chocorua
if you pull back from that spot you will notice a red line defining the boundary of "chocorua" as defined by google

google maps version here

not even within the boundary, you will find people who live around the lake disagree with that boundary

some argue it is the po zip code
defined here mapped here.

However you define Chocorua, the area is totally within the Town of Tamworth.
In the other hand, the mountain is in Albany (check that)
but while we don't own the the mountain(it is in Albany) we own the view

We also don't own the train station, all the service to Chocorua landed at either West Ossipee or Silver Lake.

show where the train station was

however, for a price, anyone can purchase a po box there
next to the current post office is the Chocorua Library and Runnels Hall

The top of the sign allows to identify the mountain peaks and profile contours of the the view in front of you.

A color coded shaded relief map on the right helps understand, give sense of the "basin" shape and relationship to surrounding peaks

The text and logos on the bottom give recognition to the organizations that helped preserve the view and develop the park.

To continue our virtual tour, or enhance reality if you are reading this at the site, we will turn around and look at the older stone walls and move around 360 degrees to how these older walls transition to the the magnificent new stone wall bordering the park and parking area

please note, respect private property,
do not go into areas beyond the new stone wall, copy their text,

also for your own safety be very careful exploring the area
